We Have Some Questions….

family.jpg

As I told you before my class is blogging with a class from Hawksdale College in Victoria, Australia. They have recently asked us more questions which are

“What is the most precious item in your life? The one thing that you cannot do without. The thing in life you value the most.”

So to answer the question the most valuable item in my life is my family. Without my family i would be nothing. I wouldn’t be able to get threw the day without knowing that I have a family that loves and cares about me. I don’t think that there is anything that can compare to my family.

OMG It’s Sooo Amazing!!!

high-school.jpgI have had a day worth of experience in High School and I think that it is nothing like what people say it is. A lot of people say that it’s harder work, but I don’t think that it is because from what I seen you do the same thing that your doing now in school but take it a step further. I also think that in High School you have more freedom. For example at the school I shadowed the students can just call their teachers by their last name with the Mr. , or Miss. You can also just say Mr. or Miss. Mostly likely a lot of eighth grade student will be amazed when they get to High School no matter where they go.

Overcrowed Prison See 40% Rise In Suicides!!!

I was reading this article entitled U.K. Prisons Are Struggling to Cope With Overcrowding” and it was talking about how in the United Kingdom the prisons are overcrowded and the people in the justice department need to build more prisons. It also said that they 115 deaths per 100,000 prisoners in the year 2007 compared to 86 in the year 2006. Because of the suicides and the overcrowd they were releasing some of the prisoners early. Now I don’t know about you but releasing them early I don’t think will solve a problem. By the year 2014 they hope to house from 88,800 and 101,900 convicts. A lot!!! Overall, I think people should just stop committing crimes and that would solve the problem too.

Please take my poll in relation to the article located at:

Dr. Martin Luther King Day

This coming Monday there will not be any school. There will not be any school because of a day called Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  Schools across the country close to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The point of having this day off was to remember what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did and because of his activism on behalf of trade unionists.. I think that his legacy should be served in school because at least then we know that people will celebrate him.

“We will not resort to violence.
We will not degrade ourselves with hatred.
Love will not be returned with hate.”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Who Put An Impact On Your Life???

Besides my parents I would have to say that my brother has put an impact on my life. Whenever I get a C or lower on my progress report or report card he always tells me that the grade that I got won’t get me anywhere in life. He also encourages me when i’m down. My brother always helps me study for any test or quiz over the phone. Even when he is at work he still helps me study. My brother lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. Besides my brother who influence me, I think that everyone I know does too!!!

I wonder..

What the world might look like when it's over.I wonder if the statement the world will end on December 24th, 2012 is true. I wonder this because if it true I will start saving money now so that when I get older I can spend it doing all the things that I want to do. If it is not then I won’t have to do that this early. I could just do it when I get older, way way older. Overall I hope the world doesn’t end on that date.

What activity is so well suited to face-to-face contact that it can’t be replicated online?

I think that an activity that you have to do face-to-face is interact with others. When your online your talking to a robot. Also whenever you have a project your always going to have solo since there is no one to interact with. Another activity you have to do face-to-face is when you need an explanation in math or another subject, you might be a visual person and need the teacher to draw a picture for you to understand; if there is no one to interact with how are you going to get your explanation.

Who I want to be is…

This is a project that has to do with a lot of thought and I think that is great because it really makes you think about who you want to be in life. The question I had to answer is "who dod you want to be?"
